The winer of StealthyTech's $200 Giveaway Has been decided. Joshua M. from California will be getting some fun geeky toys, along with the runner ups. Congratulations, and good luck next time to the rest of you!

iPod_TouchThe guys over at touchmods.net have proven it possible to use your iPod Touch as a phone - no lie. Using the iPod’s wifi it can connect to a free SIP- VoIP and make phone calls.. to anywhere. See their proof below.

What’s interesting? Well, aside from the obvious, the fact that it’s free is pretty cool. It’s almost like having the iPhone, but no service plans, and a cheaper device. It still seems a bit unpractical, but cool nonetheless.

    HeadphonesAccording to CNet:

“If you depend on the sounds of Internet radio to get you through your workday, don’t be surprised if your headphones pipe out little more than dead air next Tuesday. In protest of the elevated royalty fees Webcasters are poised to begin owing to the record industry next month, Internet radio operators are planning to stage a ‘day of silence.’”

Radio stations such as Live365 and AccuRadio were already agreed as soon as the idea was proposed, while recently major stations such as Yahoo, Rhapsody, MTV and 30+ other stations (and growing) have agreed to the idea that the increased royalty is simply nothing but a pure act of greed and are all very happy to participate in this day of silence.

What most of you aren’t thinking of is the business side of all this. One day off line for some of the bigger stations means thousands of dollars not gained by ads and other revenue streams. These internet radio companies are sacrificing a lot, but are also supporting a righteous cause and we here at ST are behind them 110%!

Bass Shaker ProSo what do you think is better than hearing crisp clear bass notes pound their way through the air? Why, feeling it of course! A site called SmartHome features a product that claims it will shake your local area or seat with rhythms of the music or movie you’re listening to/watching. Provides crisp and clear sounds without any sort of distortion whatsoever!

You simply mount the device under a car seat or under a couch and plug it into your home theater system along with your regular bass module. In the case of it being in your car, you simply connect it to a separately sold amplifier and to your car audio system, and you’ve got yourself a bumpin’ ride. What’s better then one of these things? 18 of them! (Actually, that may be a bit overkill there, not to mention painful.. or deadly.. at least ilegal :P )
