The winer of StealthyTech's $200 Giveaway Has been decided. Joshua M. from California will be getting some fun geeky toys, along with the runner ups. Congratulations, and good luck next time to the rest of you!

NuVinci01Today, you traditionally get 21 gears to choose from on a mountain bike. Leonardo da Vinci, back in the 1400’s, sketched out a transmission system that utilizes ball bearings and discs to set an infinite amount of possible gear ratios. A knob at the handle bars controls the angle of the ball bearings within the wheel hub. You pedal to rotate one disc, and the other disc transfers power to the wheel. The bearings have a wide range of motion, which gives you very precise control over the energy being put in, and the speed coming out.

Within four years you can expect to see this technology in cars, wind turbines, or anything with need for a transmission system. It will dramatically decrease the amount of energy needed to be mobile, and will reduce wear and tear on engines (or bikers). The system is called NuVinci to credit the genius behind it all. Visit http://www.ellsworthbikes.com/ for more information on the bikes. Sketch of transmission after break.

Google is a very good example of business diversification. They started as a search engine, and are now one of the worlds leading companies in internet tools, from searching to social networking. Google is the internet super giant. But more and more we see Google jumping out of it’s boundaries just a tiny bit. Afterall, this is how they can make their stock jump from zilch to $731 USD per share in such a short time.

A company called Gillbarco Veeder-Root is behind a sort of Smart Pump. On it it features a screen with which you can use to search for businesses, homes, and Google Maps all powered by Google.

Accomplished while running under testing conditions, the train reached a whopping 357.2MPH while the engine system was pushing a 31,000 Volt charge through it’s lines. In the video below, you can see how fast this actually is as these speeds are hard to mentally comprehend. From the bridge perspective, you see the train from horizon to horizon for about 3 seconds… WOW!

No question about it back then, when computers were in no way a fad, geeks were not cool either. Yet these days we’ll pay them large amounts of money for them fix problems some common people cannot otherwise solve themselves. Over the years computers have gained popularity, not to mention, fashion.

This is the V23i from Flybook. For some, this is all you may ever need. It features 8.9″ touch screen which allows for superior human interface, which also enables the user to forget the ever tedious mouse. It comes with all the connectivity you could possibly need. All the ‘V’ models support mobile broadband to get you connected any time, and any place which would commonly have a cell phone signal. Some ‘V’ models even support HSDPA/UMTS connections that can pump out as much as 1.8mbps of wireless broadband, which is quite uncommon amongst your average Joe devices. Either for the man on the move or the mobile geek, you’ll be sure to stay connected.FlyBook

Hover BoardMoore’s law states that every 18 months, technology will double in advancement. So far this has actually held true. Just take a look at the way flash memory has developed, all multiples of 2, starting at 16. But it’s been a long time since a total revamp of the way we travel, as far as cars go anyhow. It’s been the same old gasoline powered engine for years and years.

But that’s about to change, or will do so in the near future. HoverTechech has spent 15 years researching and developing the technology we need in order achieve the goal of a hover car, or hover board. A recent discovery by Bill Butler named “Magneto-Ion Theory” may make this possible, and a lot faster, too. Just take a look at some of the details:
